NBA rumors: Pistons, T-wolves reportedly discussing blockbuster trade

The Pistons and Timberwolves are reportedly ready to make a blockbuster move.

According to ESPN.com, the two teams have held discussions regarding a point guard swap that would send Reggie Jackson to Minnesota and Ricky Rubio to Detroit. The Timberwolves would also add Shabazz Muhammad to sweeten the deal.

Jackson signed a five-year, $80 million contract at the beginning of last season, while Rubio has just two years and under $30 million left on his contract.

His comments came after a 108-107 loss Monday to the Hawks, a game in which Melo had a chance to win for New York just before the final buzzer. While he searched for an answer on the final shot, he also had to account for his future with the Knicks.

Anthony’s status with the team has been in question for a while, although most of the talk is media-created. Recently, however, Charley Rosen, a close friend of team president Phil Jackson’s, wrote a column on FanRag Sports essentially saying Anthony’s days with the Knicks should be over.

In response to the column, Anthony said over the weekend, “If they feel my time in New York is over, I guess that’s a conversation we should have.”

He echoed those comments Monday, adding: “If they want to come talk to me, I’m around them guys Troy Polamalu Cheap Jerseys every day. I don’t want this to be kind of going back and forth between me and the front office, management, because it’s really nothing, I responded to an article that I read. That was that. There’s Rugby Cheap Jerseys nothing between myself and management at this point.”
