LaVar Ball chimes in on the Lonzo vs. De’Aaron Fox beef

Before the NBA Draft there were legitimate discussions as to whether the Lakers should draft Kentucky’s De’Aaron Fox over Lonzo Ball.

Through the process, Fox was quick to point out his head-to-head success against Ball and UCLA. In two games against the Bruins, including a Sweet 16 win, Fox averaged 29.5 points and 6.5 assists per game.

The Lakers, as we know, went with Ball at No. 2 overall, while Fox went fifth to the Kings to set up a nice west-coast rivalry between the electric point guards.

The Post, citing unidentified sources, reported that Anthony’s camp is pushing hard for the trade to Houston, but the Knicks haven’t restarted talks with the Rockets after breaking them off Friday.

On the other side of the discussions, the Rockets’ pursuit of Anthony, to join James Harden and Chris Paul, reportedly won’t be deterred by the team being put up for sale on Monday.

The Trail Blazers and Suns also have been interested in a trade at varying levels.

Things get interesting because Anthony has little leverage beyond his no-trade clause. The Knicks, no longer with a win-now mentality, reportedly are prepared to negotiate into the start of training camp in the fall.

If Anthony chooses to hold out of camp, he would just be costing himself money, the Post noted. A Knicks team in full rebuild mode would merely play Courtney Lee at Anthony’s small-forward spot, presumably into the season.

New team president Steve Mills says there’s “no set timeline for NFL Jerseys From China this,” and the Knicks would not consider buying out Anthony, who has $56 million remaining on NFL Jerseys Nike his NFL Cheap Jerseys Wholesale contract with an opt-out clause after this season.

But, at 33, he has to hear the clock ticking on his career.
